The mission of the Shelby County Arts Council is to support, nurture and promote arts and cultural organizations and artist in Shelby County, enhancing the quality of life for citizens and promoting economic growth. The Shelby County Arts Council serves the entire community, reaching all economic levels, ages and races.
The Shelby County Arts Council benefits the community by improving the quality of life and making the community a better place to live and work. It benefits individuals and youth by providing an outlet for creativity and a means to nurture talent. Children that develop their artistic talents improve their ability to learn and develop self-discipline. The long-term goal of the Shelby County Arts Council is to build a world-class arts education and performance facility to serve the citizens of Shelby County with premier arts programs.
